No access to food or water

UAF volunteers arrived in South Houston loaded with beans, rice, cooking oil, water and many other basic necessities. Grocery stores have been wiped out and supplies are slow to come in.

“The stores are all empty. We don’t have a way to get food right now,” said Laura, one of the people we serve.

Our volunteers were able to bring several tons of supplies, but it is not nearly enough. There are cars lining the road for miles in hopes of getting some supplies. Some drivers ran out of gas
