SRI LANKA
UAF TSUNAMI RESPONSE
United Aid Foundation was founded by a group of friends and family as a way to ease the suffering of people of Sri Lanka following the disastrous tsunami in 2005 that swept hundreds of thousands of people out to sea and left millions more without homes or income.
In the beginning, United Aid Foundation provided mosquito nets, hurricane lanterns, water tanks, and medicines to a forgotten population living in camps on the outer regions of the country.
Today, United Aid Foundation serves the people of Sri Lanka with a yearly medical mission providing surgeries and clinics.
Board member Sandra Nunez and her husband, United Aid Foundation Medical Director, Dr. Domingo Nunez lead the Sri Lanka project.
We also partner with the Sunshine Children’s health program providing medical care to vulnerable mothers and children.
